I thought I had a lot of clothes.

I probably have around 20 dresses, about a dozen skirts, one pair of jeans (and I live in jeans on the weekend). One pair of winter boots--I was thinking of splurging on two pairs this winter!!

I used to have a bunch more clothes when I had the time to while away a day thrift-shopping with my college buddies, but not any more!

How do you keep track of over 100 dresses? Honest question.

I am also feeling the urge to purge.

Dresses- 10-15
Jeans 10-15
Boots 2 (rain, leather)
Bags- 15-20

wow, this thread reminds me that i need to seriously purge my closet!

Where,pp, do you store your clothes? I have over 100 dresses but fit neatly in large walkin thing room size closet

Not sure if this is directed at me. I am the poster who hates jeans. I'm an RN so wear scrubs for work. In the fall/winter i wear a lot of dresses and skirts with tights or with knee high boots. Will wear jeans if I'm going to be outside for an extended pwriod of time.

I don't wear jeans either. Cords, chinos, khakis, skirts instead.

One of the PPs who has over 100 dresses. I have a very large walk in closet and store my clothes during the off season. I certainly don't have over 100 dresses hanging at once!! Spring/summer..probably 50-75 dresses and 25 skirts. Fall/Winter probably 50-75 dresses and only about 5 skirts.

this is very approximate. I am probably minimizing and have more in each category:

Dresses - ~20, though probably only 10 fit me now (holding onto smaller sizes
Jeans - another category where I'm holding onto smaller sizes. I think 3 fit me right now. Probably another 3 or so in storage (more slacks or dress pants in varying sizes than jeans)
Boots - shoes are my downfall - I think around 15 boots. tall brown and black, in flat and heels (I think 3 brown, but I just ordered a pair of brown ones this afternoon and really thinking about a pair of gray, and 3 black). A BUNCH of shooties/ankle boots, etc - at least 8-10
Bags - I have a ton I need to purge, haven't used in years. Lot soy cheap ones from my 20s that I need to just get rid of. Probably 6-8 ones I rotate or use every once in a while, another 20 or so that need to go.

Bottom line: I wish I could purge. I don't know why I hold onto so much stuff I don't use.

I love dresses! Wear all year but especially summer. Much more flattering for my body type and easy and cool. I always feel good in them. Sahm school aged kids aged 40

100 dresses? Why?

3 pr jeans
2 pr corduroys
3 pr cotton chino type pants
1 pr snow boots (don't like boots)
6 pr flip flops (do love flip flops)
7 bags- none "good." I like crossbody bags.
4 skirts
2 dresses

I'm a teacher and wear skirts only under duress. I have no use for dresses. The dresses that I have are like "little black dress" types that are for cocktail events... and I can't even remember the last time I went to one of those. When I do have to dress up I wear tuxedo pants with heels and a fancy top.

200 dresses

20 coats , cloth, trench etc that is the real problem area!
