My guess? University of CO is going to be in DEEP sh*t.

Everyone is focused on the "he's crazy" and he will play it that way, but he got all of the chemicals via the university, the university failed him on his exams and, likely, did nothing. They probably didn't even refer him to a counselor or dean. It will be easy for his team to show that he was mentally abused by the university and the breaking point was failing the exams. The university did nothing to help him so he spiraled into madness and went on a shooting spree.

It's not going to be an easy conviction. And I think UofCO needs to be held liable and made example of to other universities that don't give a crap about grad students.


You definitely have a point, however, VA Tech seems to have gotten away with not referring Cho to counseling. How is U of Co different?


That's true, although they lost the civil lawsuit which is what counts. The university is remaining very tight-lipped for a reason. I'm guessing they have culpability and they know it.

It's only if the suspects appear educated and/or wealthy (do a search and see all the pity for George Huguely) In the other thread posters are vilifying the young mother (who was presumably white) whose daughter was killed.

I certainly am not defending him. He's guilty as sin and should spend the rest of his years locked away. Even if you say he is playing the media or whatever, that would make him a sociopath at best. Still a mental illness. Sick in the head.

Sane people do not commit such insane acts of violence. A person shooting another in self defense - sure, I can see that they are sane. This was nothing of the sort.

This dude is looney tunes, and sadly got through the cracks somehow.

I haven't seen this reported anywhere, and I've read coverage from NY Times, Washington Post, Denver Post, CNN, and various TV news outlets. Where have you seen this?

The guy is sick in the head, period. So was the guy who shot congresswoman Gifford. So was the VA Tech murderer. Insane.

That's possibly true, but at this stage we don't know what they knew/didn't know or tried to do/didn't try to do. We need more information before we jump to conclusions.
