There are many places I could live like a king. Unfortunately, it makes more sense for me to live like a pauper in Chevy Chase.

How long would it take you to get into DC?

Maybe when the kids leave for college...

The kids will more likely be going to jail, not college.

"Birdlawn Manor" .The absolute best buy that I have EVER made! No major issues, kept in unusually great condition for it's age. Former US Congressman Frank Crawford owned the home for 30+ years and added some amazing features to the home.

Backs up to a field belonging to an elementary school btw...

Stained glass windows are great! Wood floors are great!
New building doesn't have this kind of quality work.

Right next to a high school, though...

It's lovely, though I am imagining there must be major structural issues for it to be so inexpensive.

There's a bus stop 3 blocks away (W13, W14) that'll take you to Farragut Square or Anacostia Metro. Though it'll probably take 45 minutes.

Why on earth would you buy a 4700 sq foot house AFTER your kids leave for college?

I intend to open up a plantation-themed brothel.
