2am - Seminary Ridge - Alexandria - also thought we were being bombed - unbelievable!

17:13 here (Del Ray poster). I'm a heavy sleeper, too -- storms pretty much never wake me up. I swear that thunder was earth-moving, though. There were definitely more than a couple of booms that sounded like something other than thunder.

Another Duke and Quaker girl here. I also thought it was a bomb, or a loud earthquake. I've never heard thunder like that before.
