And based on a true story where a couple was left behind. So that made it ore terrifying to me. They were just filling in what might have happened. At the time, there was suspicion that the couple survived and/or faked thier own death. People questioned why they did not signal or swim to the other boats. There was suspicion around why they dropped thier weight belts (I think one was found). The movie addressed each one.

So when I was watching the movie, I was expecting a twist where they survive and live happily in secret. Instead it portrayed the growing realization that they were going to die.

Yes, I go to the beach, but I don't particularly enjoy it and I never go in the water past my knees. Sharks suck.

Just get an EPIRB if you boat dive. Most serious divers have them.

I think this is the movie late stand up comedian Ralphie May referenced in his act - the reactions from black moviegoer behind him? "'Cuba Diving? Oh, hell no!" Obscure, but anyone know? Funny take on "adventures" that only white people enjoy.
