It's much less of a hassle than having to deal with Comcast for any issue.

We went to a FIOS internet only plan. Less than $50 a month.

Bought a paper Thin Leaf Indoor HDTV Antenna today. Haven't hooked it up yet.

We us Verizon DSL and Verizon phone and then use websites and Amazon Prime to watch shows on our computers. Occasionally it buffers but generally we don't have any problems with internet or phone.

I think you can pay for a season ticket to stream games for everything except NFL.

You can also use an antenna to get any games on the local channels.

Ironically, to use the premium channel streaming services, you have to be a subscriber to cable. So for shows on these channels, you just have to wait until the DVD of the season is released before you can stream it on iTunes/hulu/etc. It's thought that this will change as more and more people dump cable.

Cheapest FIOS.

Use Netflix and Hulu primarily. We have 3 devices that can stream TV. One of them is a wireless Sony BD player. Through that we've also found Crackle (totally free) and Zudu (Streaming Pay-per view).

We have cheap internet-only service with Comcast ($19.99 a month) and occasionally have to wait a couple of minutes for a Netflix show to buffer and stop stumbling, but most of the time it works just fine.

We have internet only service with Comcast. We use apple tv not roku--but since it's pretty much the same thing, I thought I'd weigh in.

Before Comcast, we used Clear, which worked well for a while and then started having lots of downtime. Before that we used Earthlink DSL, which was OK. Comcast has been more reliable though.
