OP here- these are all good points. I particularly liked imagining him farting in bed, because while silly, it raises an important point. I think it's right too he's a fantasy, an escape. I wish my DH and I could go to counseling, but we just can't afford it right now. I'm beginning to look at what our church has to offer.

I wouldnt say 'grow up', but I do agree with the above. When my ex and I split, we went through a long period of time when we were not living together, acting as man & wife, etc. but I still couldnt let myself do anything stupid. Technically, by the letter of the law I was still married.
