Hahaha! I was thinking the exact same thing. I am sure Jeff knows this as well.
If you think the AAP thing is bad, there is some mothering website that has a dedicated gifted forum. The funny thing is that most of the posters, at least 60%, are moms of infants and toddlers who are posting about their gifted children, how they can't imagine how the future schools are going to be able to educate their 12 month old, etc. The youngest "gifted" child that a mom posted about was around 6 months old.
So it could be much worse (or better) depending on how much amusement you get from these types of posts.
What is this site? I need a good laugh once in a while...
Oh. My. God. So this is where the superfreak AAP Moms are born!
I just went to it! That was good for a laugh. The 3 month old that can accurately point out facial features when asked cracked me up!
Thanks for posting this! I needed some humor for an early Saturday morning.

Anonymous wrote:PP, your DS got in with a 172 verbal score? My DS scores were higher than your DS scores! DS is exceptionally gifted and even AAP is below his academic ability.

That's great! And my personal favorite, most ridiculous (and incredibly annoying) post is when parents complain about other parents posting their child's scores.
[list]Pretty much all of it! AAP shouldn't exist in the way it does now. It is simply nonsense and prejudicial.

Wait for it....
My personal favorite is the complaining about the score sharing complaints.
Really though, I've read a couple that have mentioned kids crying when they didn't get into AAP. Crazy!
