On the other hand, when we we traveled to Greece, I purchased just a bathing suit bottom to enjoy the beach topless.
A girl has to have fun, but please stop scaring my teenage sons!

I can understand being misguided at 20 or 30 because you think you know everything. But at 50...I don't care if you weigh 100 lbs...have some decency!
It's anti-bikini-lady again!

I'm early twenties and very slim, but if I were concerned with about an older and/or out-of-shape person being in a two-piece, it'd be *me* who had the problem. I obviously wouldn't be enjoying myself if I were obsessing over what other people were wearing.

+1
If you've got the body for a 2 piece, go for it!
Look at Helen Mirren. I wish I looked this fabulous now (33)
I agree, it's not the age, it's the body. Helen Mirren is absolutely smokin'.
Anonymous wrote:At 20, you can have just an OK body and still wear a 2-piece, but at 50 I think you really have to rock it. You also have to really want to wear that bikini. Me -- I can rock it, but I'd rather wear a really fabulous and sexy one-piece. That said, DH begged me to wear one when we went to Puerto Rico for our 25th anniversary, so I did . . . and, yeah, it was worth it.
Anonymous wrote:Personally, I don't think wearing a 2 piece should be a matter of age, it should be a matter of fitness. I see plenty of 20-somethings at our neighborhood pools who are far too heavy and/or out of shape to be trying to pour themselves into a bikini. Ugh.
If you are 50 or over and are fit, then I think there is nothing wrong with wearing a tasteful 2 piece swimsuit.
As for Helen Mirren, she looks fan-freaking-tastic!
