I think a couple of the harpies want APS to reopen the Madison Center as a school. Retrofitting that would not, in fact, be cheaper. But, hey, it's what they want.

Gripe: to complain naggingly or constantly

Glad we're not at Jamestown and dealing with that PTA. Prime exhibit for how to undermine your own argument.

I am bursting with curiosity!

Me too! Ugh, that letter is horrid. I feel for the people that have their names attached to that.

I've been no fan of our own PTA, but this letter makes me glad we bought further south in Arlington.

Those slightly more expensive options. Please put that money into fixing the athletic field at Hoffman Boston instead.

I meant to say "will have no influence on where they are placed." Any PTA that thinks it wields that sort of power is delusional.

I find it hard to believe that PTA push back had any influence on the class size decision, just as their outrage at trailers will have influence on where they are placed. I say this as a long-standing PTA board member.

Why are they assuming that the overcrowding is "short-term" anyway?

The solution then is to burry the relocatables

The relocatables – hardly pleasing to look at – are in direct line of sight of over a dozen homes in the neighborhood, and sully the atmosphere of the heart of the Jamestown community.

Ahhhh... and now we come to the real reason for the collectively bunched panties. It's not about the kids, it's about the parents' views from their faux chateaux.
