No shift towards unstoppable weight gain yet - my fingers are crossed that I'll be one of the lucky ones!
This sounds like a low carb diet. Refined carbs are the worst.

I just turned 37 and literally eat between 1,200 - 1,500 calories 5 days a week. I don't exercise as much as I'd like, but I can't lose weight to save my life. And yes, I really am eating just that amount of calories (unless the Diet-To-Go meals are lying...).
