I got slammed here for saying this before, but I still believe that the best way for kids to experience things like dancing and alcohol is in a social setting that includes people of different ages. By banning everyone under 21 not just from the bar but from the dance floor, American establishments have avoided legal problems, but they also took away the civilizing effect that seeing older people dance and flirt respectfully and enjoy alcohol in moderation can have on younger people.

I have to wonder what's up with that. Why in the world do they think it's sexy to dress/act/dance that way. I guess they're just looking for attention? I'm mostly asking because I'd want to know how to keep my DD from thinking that this was okay/acceptable.

I can totally get wanting to meet guys, and dressing cute, but some of those outfits crossed the line.

I did not say teens need lap dances. I said they need stuff to do. Dancing - not lap dancing. Nobody commented on the other dancing which looked pretty impressive.

My child would be grounded if he/she was in the inappropriate pictures - but I would not be blaming the "supervision" - I would take some blame and my child would take the rest.

I'm sorry, but I completely disagree. I did more than my share of partying and crazy dancing, but that was in COLLEGE. Some of the kids in these pictures look REALLY young. Like one of the PP said, there is one boy in a blue shirt, who literally looks to be about 12.

And, they weren't just 'sitting' on each others' laps.

I think they could start out by having a dress code. You cannot take your shirts off, belly has to be covered. Sorry, but some of those clothes are just way out of line.

Maybe, but did the kids go and buy those outfits, with their own money, on their own? I doubt it. Parents are to blame for most of this-the girls need an explanation of all that grinding means. For the boys, 99% of their parents probably couldn't care less. Ugh
