You do waste--plastic!!! What a joke that people buy this wasteful crap.

Ok, Judgy Mcjudger.

It is okay to judge morally reprehensible behavior. That is why we have, for example, criminal laws. I find wasting and consuming plastic with reckless abandon to be morally reprehensible. I judge littering, too. See, it's ok to judge when the activity really is bad!!

You are aware that the kcups can be rinsed of the coffee and recycled, right?

Much cheaper and much less wasteful than buying a drink at Starbucks or DD daily, which is what I used to do.

I use the refillable and use a dark blend in it but neither that nor any K cup has been really satisfactory... closest is the idea of doing 2 small cups with a refill of coffee each time but at that rate you're using 3-4x as much coffee per cup as with a decent gold cone drip maker (Braun).

I use it because it's a friend's and is in our office area, I'd never pay for a Keurig, just way too overpriced for very mediocre coffee.

My husband and I did find the breakfast blends to be too mild. We love the moderate roast Nantucket Blend and brew the smaller cup size.

Love the Keurig for convenience. I also think if you get the right blend you can get "stronger" coffee. My husband likes really bold blends and loves the dark magic blend on the smallest setting. Good luck!

No, it's not socially acceptable. That's one reason I enjoyed being a SAHM. Instead of wasting money on gas and purchase of required outfits, etc, I made my own bread, spent part of the week composting our garbage (didn't use a disposer), made my children's clothes using hand stitches whenever possible (wasteful to use electricity to power a sewing machine), participated in a clothing and shoe swap, collected rainwater for flushing our toilets, walked our children to school, and made my husband's ties. We've tried to live as green as possible. Do you have some more suggestions? TIA!

Another thing you can do for the reusable pod is use espresso grounds. My sister drinks mud coffee and she just LOVES the strength she can get out of the Cafe Bustello espresso using the Keurig. And I thought I loved bold coffee, my sister's is too strong for me.

What I do is run 2 k cups into one cup on the small cup setting makes it plenty strong. (yes I waste that much plastic) the also go in the recycling bin.

I like my Keurig for the convenience and the freshness of the single cup. I do agree that sometimes it isn't strong enough. I handle this by buying the extra bold K cups or by making the smaller size cup, as some other people have suggested.

From doing research on these and talking to people who have them, i think it's pretty unanimous that people who like strong coffee pretty much hate these things. People who like flavored coffees etc seem to like them.
