Right, until it came out that the band director was having sex with one of the students, and the principal knew about it but decided not to do anything since he was such a great band director.

Hopefully the inventory of instruments was moved to another school.

Shaw was slated to be one of Rhee's miracles - with a staff of TFA teachers and a new principal from Montgomery county.

Unfortunately the scores went down instead of up and the principal was sadly murdered in his own home.

There's been no news out of Shaw since.

7th and O crew, 5th and O crew, LW crew. The neighborhood is getting much better, but the gang violence has been pretty bad again in the past couple months. I am counting on the upward swing continuing, but for now, yes, there is still a gang problem.
