Mine is from Target and close to ten years old. Cut like the one in 12:48's link, but red and not shiny. It is a fun and colorful jacket that I wear on weekends and to work on more casual days. Often worn with penny loafers or boots. I'm OK with being preppy. It is more cost-effective than being trendy, that's for sure.

I have two...both Burberry!

And love my Tory Burch flats and flip flops.

Oh also...I am wearing a suit from BR today and the pants are GASP ankle length. They look adorable!

I'd rather look stupid than be stupid.

Guess I'd rather freeze as an individual than be one of the sheeple.

Please enlighten us oh great individualistic and stylish one... What do you wear to keep yourself from freezing?

Really, you can't think of *any* other type of coat or jacket that might exist in the world?!?

Honestly, and without any of my earlier snark, I don't like quilted jackets because they have become such a stereotypical uniform of the wealthy, upper NW woman. I certainly understand how fashion and trends work, but I feel like the quilted jacket has gone beyond trend and crossed over into caricature. And that's my serious answer.

I have a pastel Brooks Brothers one and wear it often. Springy and NOT BLACK, so I'm sure that's even worse.

But I prefer my zip hoodie from LL Bean, with yoga pants and Danskos. So comfortable. I'm in my late 20s and brunette so most moms at the park seem to mistake me for a nanny anyway. I am sure of it because they use pidgin English when they first say anything to me. Ladies, just because I'm a brunette with olive complexion doesn't mean I don't speak the Queen's English!

It makes me laugh, I image most of the posters here wearing white turtlenecks under thick gaudy wool sweaters with black loafers and black pleated Chico's pants. So, with that in mind, I ignore all discussions of fashion on this board.

This is hilarious! I love my Burberry quilted jacket (I have the one w/the drawstring waist so it's not so boxy), but believe me, I see these jackets comin' and goin', including on many women wearing exactly the outfit you describe. Hate to break it to you, babe, but Burberry jackets are not cutting edge fashion, just warm and versatile.

What is Barbour? Did Haley Barbour come out with a fashion line or something?

Barbour is such a funny name anyway -- means booger in Arabic.

Yes Burberry and Barbour jackets. I also drive a massive SUV, was the one quote in the article over a yr ago for it, and monogram lots of items. Don't really care what women on an anonymous forum this, just glad I don't wear hideous cropped cargo pants and that kind of hideous fashion
