They should notify parents sooner. What a pain.

We received a letter for Mantua yesterday. Orientation is on Monday. We have lots of questions.

Luckily DC went thru the process in a previous year. If it was this year, there is no way I would be able to change my work schedule to attend an (early) morning meeting just a few days after receiving the letter. The county really needs to give parents a little planning time. I thought it was bad last year, but from what I here, this year is terrible. Many people didn't even get their pool letters until just days before the applications were due!

That is very early, considering letters might not be mailed until Friday.

Usually if the orientation is scheduled to occur when letters may not be received at least two days before, you will receive a call or email from your current elementary school.

The eligibility/ineligibility letters will be received before the orientations, however there might not be a lot of planning time before local level IV orientations.
