Good question, am currently recovering from a D&C.
Drs said to wait 6 weeks or 2 actual periods before TTC. I now am getting various feedback from people saying I should have waited 3-6 months after going off the Pill to TTC and that could have been related to miscarriage #1 at 7 weeks... They also say wait longer now.

Not sure why there are such divergent schools of thought on the matter (after D&C, or after going off the Pill). It's not helping!

On RE's advice, I just waited until I got my period after last D&C (regretfully, I have had several miscarriages), and then I got pregnant immediately. Now have a 7 month old!

I think after D&C your lining is thin so they tell you to wait b/c you are more prone to miscarriage again. I just naturally miscarried at 6 weeks and the RE told me that I was ok to try to start trying immediately. I of course know that if by some strange chance I get lucky, I'm going to be even more anxious than I would normally be (if thats possible) b/c they have problems dating pregnancy immediately after m/c.

Mine said to wait one cycle (loss at 10 weeks, baby measuring about 8) before trying again. She said they used to tell people to wait three cycles, but there's no data saying that it's any better than not.

Sorry to everyone for their losses. Its so terrible. Wishing everyone gets their miracles

I had two babies later. I got pregnant 4 months after the miscarriage and carried to term and then got pregnant when DC was 11 months old and carried to term.
