Here is what WORKED for us three times whenever we moved within DC area.

Go to their website helpcenter click on CONTACT US. it will bring a dropdown menu where you select "Classified and advertising" which will open a form. Simply fill out the form and in the description, just say: "Please stop marketplace advertisement at the following address: (your address)".

They will fix it within a day or so. You may still get one more copy but that's it. DO provide your email ID so that they generate the ticket and send it to you in case you want to follow up.

You may also chat with someone on their site but that may take some time.

Send a letter to their return address, notarized and registered. Tell them you have a handling fee associated with unsolicited publications. Keep track of this, then take them to small claims court after your 'fee' closes in on 1k.

I just called 202-334-7730 and spoke with a very nice person at The Washington Post. He entered my info in the computer and said it would take one to two week for the mailings to stop.

Get a small pet and use it as a cage liner.

Does anyone know the direct contact to the office who sends their people out to dump their marketplace advertisements? I have called Washington Post on several occasions and spoke with Adrian, Kathy, and ms . Massey who all promised me that they would take care of the situation but they have not. I even told the guy who dumped their crap onto our 200 apartment doors and told him you are soliciting and trespassing and I'm going to call the police as the office recommended. He sped through the parking lot and continue to dump these papers and every doorway

For clarification, is this being done as opposed to a mailbox? I live in an apartment building as well, but these things end up in the mailbox.

I called and followed up with an email to HomeDelivery@WashPost.com Hope it works.

I called the number about a year ago, and they stopped maybe a month later. Have not started again.

Did it work? I reached someone two weeks ago who promised it would stop and it hasn't yet.

I just called the 202-334-7730 number and the voicemail box gives instructions on how to be removed from the list. I left a voicemail. I really hope it works.
