probably not drugs - the examiner reported yesterday that area gangs are turning to sex trafficking because it brings in more money with less risk than drugs or guns.

We never talk to anyone (even our closest friends) about the trust fund that I have. I'm sure people wondered what the hell we were doing when we sold our old underwater house to buy something bigger in a better neighborhood. People probably think we live way above our means given our lifestyle, but the truth is that they don't know all the facts.

They probably inherited money. That's how we managed to pay two mortgages for over a year in similar circumstances! Friends kept alluding to it, like, yikes, how are you managing that?! And I'd just say, yeah, it's crazy. Which it was. But also I didn't want to talk about how we just inherited a shitload of money. So please try to be cool and don't discuss it unless they bring it up. They're probably trying not to be obnoxious.
