Can we get Goldberg's to open in the District, maybe? We like to stop by the Silver Spring store when starting out on road trips that require 495 access, but otherwise we're out of luck.
Its not normal strawberry nasty tasting fake cream cheese. It has pieces of strawberries mixed in and its not that nasty pink color. They take the strawberries and mix it into regular cream cheese. If you hate strawberry in general thats one thing...but dont knock it til you try it

Sorry pp you are wrong. The Goldbergs in Cabin John is a Baltmore based company. If you google it there is a story where the Baltimore Goldbergs tried to bar the owner of the Rockville/ Georgia ave one from using the name when expanding stores even though he was here first.
How do I know? Because I got all excited for the one in Cabin John and then realized when looking at the menu it was not the other Goldbergs.
So long story short....Goldbergs in Rockville and off Georgia Ave are the BEST bagels. Seriously amazing. And the strawberry cream cheese.
Sorry, but in in my circle liking strawberry cream cheese disqualifies you from having an valid opinion about quality bagels.
And in that single sentence I included about 3 things I hate about DCUM, so I really am sorry.

Yes-they call a bagel with lox, cream cheese, tomato and onion a Miami burger! Too funny.Anonymous wrote:Another vote for Georgetown Bagelry on River Road. Plus they have that "I don't give a damn" 'tude that reminds me of NY
