This was an interesting article about height restrictions. I love the spokespersons quote "We know that with a little imagination and planning all of our guests will find something to explore and stimulate their minds at the park."

I don't know, I think if I'm paying $60+/ticket I really shouldn't have to use my imagination and plan to "find something to explore" at the park... For that price, I shouldn't have to work for it, kwim?

We had a great time at Legoland Florida over spring break. My 4 year old had the time of his life.

I agree, especially since you have a 1 yo and 3 yo. I haven't been to the Florida legoland yet, but we used to live close to the one in Carlsbad, CA, and it was awful for kids under the age of about 4 or so. The height restrictions for most of the rides were very high. 2 year olds really couldn't do much of anything. A few years ago we went back to visit, and my youngest was two and my other children were age 4 and up. We left my 2 year old with my parents that day, because we knew he'd just be miserable watching his older brothers go on everything that he couldn't.

If it were me, I'd rather do another Disney park than Legoland. Go to AK or do 2 days at MK. Legoland isn't quite worth it yet to visit. Esp. since you are staying at SOG, why drive any further than you have to.

If you have a smartphone, highly recommend getting a WDW app..the free ones were good enough. We went first week in Dec and it was super helpful for wait times and checking out different places to eat.

Since you are staying at SOG, definitely figure in transportation time into your itinerary. Even during off peak, shuttles/transportation takes time.

We will be in Orlando for 5 nights/6 days. We plan to go to Sea World, Legoland and Magic Kingdom.

Yes, we know about the free admission to Sea World.

For only 2 days there isn't much discount out there. But I wouldn't bother with park hoppers if you have young kids. One park per day is plenty.

If I'm not staying at a Disney Resort with a package are there any better places to buy Magic Kingdom passes than their websites? I tried the AAA site but there is a minimum of 3 days and for 5 people that would be $1000. Ooof, that's a but much and we only need 2 days. Any ideas or am I stuck?

My number one piece of advice would be to go at an off season time. We've gone the week before Thanksgiving week and in January after Christmas breaks are over, and walked right on to most rides. The longest ride we waited in was maybe 20 minutes...and we got into all the restaurants we wanted (the one we probably couldn't have got into was Cinderella's round table--but we have all sons so we weren't even trying--just thought I'd specify in case you have a daughter). So much less stressful and we didn't have to plan out itineraries, we just did what we wanted, when we wanted.
