11:49 - if it was in front of his house or on a school or playground property, I can certainly see his point. You never truly know who you are pissing off.

mind your own business.

reminds me of the asshole who confronted me in front of my family after my dog had diahrrea (sp??) out on some public space. there was no possible way to pick up the dog poo, as it was in 100% liquid form and had already dissolved into nature. Guy was right in my face, unbelievable. He is very very lucky that I didn't kick his ass.

Whatever lady, get over yourself. You are making excuses for lazy, nasty assholes. They are everywhere and it's about time people start calling these idiots out. Going through something "difficult" makes it ok to leave a dirty diaper in a play area? The guy had a stroller and could have easily folded the diaper and tossed it in the bottom. That's what I do. Done. There is no excuse for his nastiness, except for the one's you are trying to create for him.

PP here. I changed my vote. While it is gross, and I definitely do not buy "what kind of day" that person is having, let it go OP. Choose your battles. There is a staff to deal with that sort of thing. You will notice people in the area are spiteful and inconsiderate, but it says more about them and their station in life than anything else.

While, yes, I agree leaving a dirty diaper behind is very bad.

However, I disagree with you, OP. He did not leave it behind. He left it near the stroller while his kids played and he returned which is when you let him have it! You have no idea. There next stop was probably to find a trash can or bathroom to throw it away.

I'm not sure what you expected to get out of the confrontation, but if I were him I might pick it up and put it on your stroller and thank you for volunteering to find a trash can for me.

Me, too, but I didn't leave crap-filled diapers sitting in public places. I forgot to say "thank you," or pay bills, or get things done on time for work, but I never expected people to clean up my messes.

Someone leaving human waste in a place where your kids go to hang out is directly affecting you. It isn't wrong to say something to him, but of course, the way that you say it and your tone can make all of the difference (e.g., "hey, I know it can be tough to find a trash can around here, but I really don't think it is right to leave that dirty diaper there" vs "how dare you dump that dirty diaper!"). I don't think that the point is to civilize someone or humiliate them, the point is to get them to rectify a potential health issue.

I also think it's gross but wouldn't have said anything.

PP on this thread have mentioned class, civility, etc. Personally I think people who don't return grocery carts are lazy and uncivilized but plenty of people would disagree. I wouldn't say anything to them either, even in the interest of making the world a better place.

What does this have to do with leaving human waste behind? If someone is sad, you let them do whatever they want because it might hurt their feelings? I guarantee if I went to the bathroom and shit in an adult diaper and folded it up, brought it outside and left it on a retaining wall at a children's play area, you would not be saying this nonsense!
