I went to him for many years cuz of his stats but the no weekend hours did have an adverse effect on many of my cycles. I liked him while I was there, I liked him when I left and still don't regret going to him because it was very hard to deal with everything and it was great to always have that one on one time direct with the dr when starting the journey. My point is that it's something to consider before going there and I didn't realize it till later.

No, it's not. They don't do routine monitoring on the weekends but they do procedures and will do monitoring if it's time sensitive (i.e., close to ovulation or trigger).

how can an infertility clinic be closed on weekends? If this is true then I can't imagine going there.

I am telling that to the woman that wasted cycles because of it, like me!
I'm not bashing him, I really liked him and love the nurses and efficiency actually, went to him from age 27-29...found success elsewhere on my first cycle though after so many years of failure. I missed ovulations and earlier transfers and lost embryos due to weekend closure.
No need to attack me just for stating my experience as well.

Tell that to the scores of women he has successfully treated...myself included. His office schedule was never a problem. I think the man knows what he is doing.

Just better hope nothing falls on a weekend cuz he's only open M-F. Very nice dr but that is a downfall of the clinic...

I have had a very positive experience at VCRM. I love the fact that Dr. Sharara does all the monitoring/procedures/tests himself and that you are not being seen by a different tech every time. I chose VCRM even though it is 40 minutes from my house because I wanted a smaller practice, and it had the best IVF stats in the area. The nurses and front desk ladies are really nice and I always feel welcomed there, and never have to wait for my appointment. Dr. Sharara is very straight forward and not a "hand holder" but I think he is great at what he does. I feel confident that if I follow his treatment plan I will end up with a baby.

I had a long and complicated infertility history and before trying Dr. Sharara, I used Shady Grove and Columbia Fertility. Patients may not like Sharara's no nonsense attitude and it really is his way or hit the road. He expects a great deal from his patients. After no success at Shady Grove and Columbia, I got pregnant with twins with Dr. Sharara. He really is the best in the area and I would recommend him without reservation.

I was successful with him. He is phenomenal and I will go back to him. I would also highly recommend him without reservation.

I did not have a good experience with him. I question some of his billing practices. He made me do duplicate testing when I had just had it done recently. Just make sure you question anything that doesn't seem right.
