OP here. Thanks for all the great advice, PPs. I appreciate it. This is a big fear of mine.. My boss flips when I need to take a day. My grandfather had a major surgery and almost died and I took one day, not during a busy time of year. This was 5 months ago. She still mentions all the time I've taken off. I took fewer than 8 days (sick and vacation combined!) most of that sick or dr appointments, bc how dare I take a vacation.
I will not be able to go on multiple interviews at all. I know quitting makes most sense at this point, but I am still so afraid.
