Pro-life vs pro-choice is a complex issue, already distorted by simplistic names chosen by each side. Everyone is in favor of life and choice, and nobody wishes to undergo abortion. When faced with the decision, a woman has enough heartache without politics intruding in a dogmatic way.

Using a half-baked analogy with slavery does nothing but muddle an already difficult debate.

People who who support abortion would have supported slavery. Working in a plantation field without machinery is much harder on a womans life than raising a child.

Capitalization, punctuation, spelling -- if you took a bit of care with these, your reasoning might be taken seriously. If there were evidence of anything in your rants deserving that name.

It was the same with slavery. people knew it was nasty and wrong but they were not about to kill themselves in the hot southern sun working a plantation without machinery. I guarantee anybody here supporting abortion would deinately not kill themselves in an alabama fieled if they could get a slave to do it. I'm sure they would call the slave "not a real person" as well to ease the guilt...just like "fetus","potential person", etc....admit it we are all crappy and selfish, thats why we need God. You better hope and pray that God isn't as mean and gross as we are when you die and are helpless.

For the sake of argument I'll grant that there is a parallel between abortion and slavery if you accept that a fetus is already a person. In fairness, though, don't you see an equally compelling analogy between choice and emancipation if you accept that a pregnant woman is also a person?
