I love Old Town Whole Foods. I've been going there for five years and they still have some of the same staff who I find friendly and helpful. I also love living in this area.

What about Del Ray? Old Town is touristy, but Del Ray is fabulous. I love walking around Old Town to admire the architecture, eating at one of the restaurants in Del Ray, and living in Rosemont.

Alexandria...smells like sewage from May to October. Delightful. I worked in Old Town for 8 years. If I had my way I would never go back there.

I agree. There is something off about this WF. I live equal distance from Clarendon WF and OT WF and 9 times out of 10, I choose to go to the Clarendon WF. I actually dread when I end up at the OT WF.

I like Arlington plenty, but I'm suspicious when Arlington people bash Alexandria so much. Is it because Alexandria's residential zoning does not look like someone threw a dart at an architectural dartboard? Any block in N. Arlington easily has one random house after another that look like they dropped out of the sky at that location...$800K homes next to $400K homes next to $1.5 mil homes...and at the end of the block...a locksmith and a KFC. Weird.
Hey-- I am the Arlington poster that said I LOVE Oldtown and like the WF on Duke better than the one in Clarendon. If it weren't for the quality of the public schools that historic Oldtown feeds into-- I'd be there instead of here!
You must be referring to South Arlington. My comments are only about North Arlington. Alexandria can have South Arlington- OP.

You are right. It has the glass stache. The only redeeming value in an ontgerwise over stuffy area suffering from average restaurants and a nice view of a river we can all see in Arlington, dc, and parts of md.
