Clearly you people have never visited Arlington... Or Berkeley. Alexandria sucks. Just ask Geico. Even they charge you more to live here.
OMG that has to be the dumbest reason to hate a city that I have ever heard of.
Really? A higher crime rate necessitating higher insurance prices is a dumb reason not to live some place...
I heard Detroit is lovely this time of year.

I like Arlington plenty, but I'm suspicious when Arlington people bash Alexandria so much. Is it because Alexandria's residential zoning does not look like someone threw a dart at an architectural dartboard? Any block in N. Arlington easily has one random house after another that look like they dropped out of the sky at that location...$800K homes next to $400K homes next to $1.5 mil homes...and at the end of the block...a locksmith and a KFC. Weird.
Hey-- I am the Arlington poster that said I LOVE Oldtown and like the WF on Duke better than the one in Clarendon. If it weren't for the quality of the public schools that historic Oldtown feeds into-- I'd be there instead of here!

OMG. This is possibly the dumbest thing I have ever heard.
Agree. And speaking of Old Town, how can you knock it? Historical, beautiful, fun.
I live right next to Old Town and have no problem knocking it. '
It's got too many restaurants that are meh and almost zero interesting shopping.
You aren't paying attention to the right things. *Sigh*
