Usually favors have some words to it saying THANKS FOR SHARING OUR SPECIAL DAY, the host is THANKING YOU for being there. if you don't want to take the gift home just leave it behind, no big deal.
When I give a party for adults, to celebrate an adult event, I feel no need to give favors as a THANKS FOR SHARING OUR SPECIAL DAY.

Anonymous wrote:We did little brown bags containing warm chocolate chip cookies and cartons of milk that people could take back with them on the shuttle to the hotel (it was a destination wedding, so everyone was staying at the same hotel and took the shuttle). The bus driver said it was really quiet initially, while everyone was eating, and then really loud when people finished and got a bit rowdy (they even convinced him to make a stop at a liquor store).
Best that I've received: Donation to charity that was meaningful to the couple; late-night grilled cheese sandwiches (not sure if this was the "favor," but they were pretty awesome).
Worst: Tchotchkes

Sure they did. That crap would go right into the garbage.
Didn't get your coffee today, huh?
I think my favorite was a Baltimore wedding that had little packages of Berger cookies for each guest. I ate both mine and DH's - deeelishWhen in doubt go with food or save your money. No one wants crap with your name on it!
