I got my MPA right after college and although I am grateful it's a professional degree instead of a liberal arts degree in a similar program. I don't think it's worth much. It looks good on paper but honestly the education was not more rigorous than undergrad and I didn't really get much from the degree. For me it was a good investment because I had funding (RA[/i] ship) and it only took a year. I cringe when I hear of people making a large mid career investment to go back to get a liberal arts MA, and even worse when they take out 80k in loans to pay for it.

Why over 50? I am 39, thank you. I have no idea what world you live in. This wasn't an online MA. It was on campus and required a thesis. Sure MBAs and JD programs don't offer assistantships but you know that going in. Oh and to the PP, yes you went to an Ivy that's great. I am sure our incomes aren't that different.

OP, if you don't like your edtech classes then stop.

I stuck it out in a grad school program that made sense on paper but which I didn't enjoy - it did me no good in the long run. I find online learning platforms particularly annoying and worthless.

Don't throw good money after bad, OP.
