You saw the original in the opening of this thread. It's definitely edited, but I don't think there is any distortion, do you? She does not seem to understand that it's editing out of context that is problematic, not editing itself.

This is the scary part....she could have been president. The republicans put her in that position. This country can not afford to have a major political party that would do that.

sarah palin memorizes a few talking points and talks in very general and vague terms. she doest add anything to the topic she is discussing.

and if you watch her on hannity specifically, he always leads her into an answer with the questions to help her out.

shes absurd. shes smart in that she recognizes her limitations are part of her "brand" and she milks it but it sad as hell that people see that for more than what it is and really think she can be president being a breath away from full out mouth breathing

Dh and I argued about what she intended to say. Dh thinks she was equating affirmative action to slavery. I think she is playing the socialist card and equating socialism to slavery, because Obama gets slammed (completely incorrectly) as a socialist more than a supporter of affirmative action. But regardless, it's pretty stupid of us to waste time on figuring out what she actually meant to say. Her fifteen minutes of fame are about up.

Minor point, but I feel I should apologize to Sarah P for misspelling her name.

I had a little debate with DW, who thinks this historical narrative of Ms P is further evidence that she is stupid. My take is that she has her point to make and does not care enough about facts to let them get in the way. It's not so much ignorance of history or lying about it as finding it of no interest compared to her message.

Whatever else, I have to admit she conned me into paying attention and reacting.

I wonder if 15:22 has a job, a family, a reason for being.......other than to be an idiot on DCUM.
