BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

Gotta love the Loudoun County passive aggressive mindset!

I dunno, I was being pretty obnoxious there, so I wouldn't call it passive-aggressive. I mean, if you want to stereotype about Loudoun residents having two hour commutes, I can stereotype about DC/Arlington residents.

Pick your poison, Maryland, DC or VA. I have family living in MD who are spe ding BIG bucks on private schools, trips, camps.....
There is a huge snob factor in MD.
it is the norm for kids in VA to go to public schools. They are what you make of them and most are very successful. I think families are less stressed because there aren't as many financial worries. Also, the state colleges are great.
There are conservatives and liberals in all areas. There are is also crazy traffic in all areas.
We raised our kids in VA. They received scholarships to wonderful private colleges (non-athletic). However, my husband and I are ready to move on. Our kids will most likely stay up north where they attended college and we have no reason to stay here if our family is not here.
Good Luck

Moderators, please move this thread to the Self-Parody Forum.

It certainly is not one step from DC re: commuting.

I understand there are large numbers of high-wage jobs outside of DC these days.

True. But this is the DC Urban Moms and Dads website and not the LOUDOUN COUNTY Suburban Moms and Dads website.

I think Loudon is still NOVA so it will also not be considered by OP. Fine with me. The less people living here for a job and then complaining about it the better.

How proprietary. But, then again, this is the VA PUBLIC SCHOOLS forum, and not the DC schools forum, so buzz off.

Go post on City-Data where all the Loudoun County people post.

But then someone might complain that it's CITY-Data, not Suburb-Data. Get over yourself.
