Do you use a slow cooker a lot?

What is your easiest recipe for someone who doesn't know how to cook?

I feed her in between thing I'm trying to make, she sits in her highchair and watches me, she might cry a little but is pretty easy going.

Does it sound steep to you? It is what we spend to keep the frig, pantry and freezer full. The only organics I buy are milk.

And I clarify to say that I cook "nearly" every night. We go out to dinner on occasion and order pizza for a treat for a movie night with the kids.

From a SAHM who also cooks for her family nightly.

The "job requirements" are whatever works for your family--every couple negotiates their own relationship to household chores. When I was a SAHM, I didn't see cooking/cleaning as things that were necessarily "my job" all the time, all day every day. Why would I? I wasn't a live-in housekeeper or a 24-7 on-call chef.

The "Butter Chicken" off of foodnetwork.com - very similar to Chicken Tikka Masala. Restaurant quality but very rich.

Are there really SAHMs that DON'T cook for their family every day? I honestly thought that was part of the job requirements...
