I agree that sometimes posts from friends have me rolling my eyes. At the same time, I know that I have friends from multiple walks of life. My kid-less friends could care less about my toddler postings, but my family loves them. Some, like you, could care less about how much I ran today. The friends with whom I train for triathlons are very interested in my latest workouts.
You have to assume that it's not all geared at you. I hate the number of social and political commentary posts that I see. I don't talk about hot-button topics like gay marriage or abortion IRL, and it's annoying to me to have your views right there in my face. But, I don't block you because you are my friend and I am interested in the other things going on in your life.
