I agree that's ridiculous but you're only hurting your own child if you don't help the PTA both with volunteering and contributing money. Its not like these volunteers get paid or anything and at our school they do a lot more than the directory. We got ours in early November I think and a class list earlier.

Because I must vent.

It is the middle of April and our school directory is still not finished. I only join the PTA for the blasted directory. I'm not sure I will bother joining next year.

March is pretty ridiculous. Our PTA made ours available in October. (They use "A to Z Directory" but I'm sure there are other services out there.)

OK, so I'm not crazy? I figured everyone would tell me I was ridiculous for expecting it before March.

I wouldn't even mind if it were electronic, but it's hard to do playdates if you don't have contact info.

Yes. We are in Arlington Co. Ours is organized by the PTA and sent home every Fall. It is great. Every child and family and who their teacher is ---is in there. Addresses, etc.. People put in emails and phone numbers (though that is voluntary).

I have used it several times to figure out a mom's name when I've been embarrassed to ask because I've known she's told me before! Great for organizing evites too.
