I never wear my wedding ring and when I do I wear it in the "wrong" hand (according to Americans). I was stunned when I found out through a dcum thread that probably everyone and their mother thought I was an unwed mom. I find this so funny because I never look for a wedding ring in anyone and would never know whether it is in the right or wrong hand.

Musicians sometimes do this.

I would assume if a person does not have their ring on the left that they are available. You should ask. Worst case he'll say no, he's taken.

My cousin was goofing around with his wedding right one night and got it stuck on his right ring finger. That was years ago. It's still stuck.

My husband wears his ring on his right hand because he's left-handed and he says it gets in the way on his left hand.

Also, I've heard some Europeans wear their wedding bands on their right hands.

I also wore mine on my right hand for awhile because my right hand is bigger than my left and I needed to have my rings re-sized.
