Why was it wrong to ask Gingrich about his affairs. Gingrich holds himself out as a family values man. Maybe it is "Big Love" family values, but I don't think he wants the populace to know that.

Obama is only likeable if you enjoy listening to a smug elitist.

It is simple -- Obama is very likeable (see performace at the Apollo yesterday -- cool) and Gingrich is one of the most dislikeable people I have been exposed to in a long time.

And can you imagine having Calista representing us as first lady -- a mistress for 8 years? She is also very dislikeable.

Can you IMAGINE what Newt would be saying if Romney had asked for an open marriage?

Or what every single Republican candidate would be saying if OBAMA did?

The level of hypocrisy is stunning.

I'm guessing Newt cheered when a moderator asked Dukakis whether he would want the death penalty if someone raped his wife.

I can't believe he got away with his sanctimonious attack on John King, calling the question "as close to despicable as anything I can imagine." Can he imagine cheating on a wife with cancer? For that BS to come from the guy who accused Romney of "pious baloney" is the height of hypocrisy!

It's going to be a close contest of who can be less appealing to his base.

You know, it's hard to let Gingrich off the hook on his marriage issues. He defined his own standard with Clinton/Lewinsky.

removing any policy positions of the man, newts tenure as speaker is all you need to know why he wouldnt be a great president.

his leadership in the house was a mess and he doesnt show anything to think hes changed and/or learned from that experience

Well, Paul has integrity, too. He's batshit crazy, but he's been consistently batshit crazy for years. That counts for something on the integrity scale.

Did I mention that he's batshit crazy?

There is another Obama running?

Maybe...I think there are least three Romneys.

Agree - I find Gingrich to be a horrible person both politically (since I'm not right-winger) and personally since he keeping cheating on his wives and divorcing them. I can disagree on policy w/ Romney or even (ugh!) Santorum 'till the cows come home, but I think both are moral people.

Obama bailed out banks and took the middle of the path and ineffective route. Only credit I give him is that he did help stop the economic bleeding that Bush left him, but most of it was the Fed pumping money into the economy cause the government wasn't doing jack.

Both Bush and Obama squandered the crisis and opportunities they had (Bush for squandering goodwill and support after 9/11 to start 2 wars, tax cuts, and unfunded programs, and Obama for not sending criminals who gambled with the economy to jail).

And Obama just signed that bill to allow indefinite detention of us citizens if president says so (what's habeas corpus?), still have Gitmo open, assassination of us citizens without trial, and still haven't closed down that security theater of DHS.

NONE of the current politicians running for president are worth a vote, imo. Is it sad that I'd rather vote for Steven Colbert?

I think the earlier post should be read as, "There's a perfectly good candidate available for Republican voters - Obama."
