+1 These are really nice sheets. My dad mentioned he'd bought sheets for "my" room at his house and I was worried that he'd bought some gross, polyester nightmare because it was on sale -- but I slept on them and they were really fantastic. And then I went and bought some for myself.

I've had pretty bad luck with Overstock's high-threadcount sheets.

Garnet Hill - best flannel sheets. Never knew how much I like them until the recent cold spell.

Also, One Kings Lane has good overstock sales on high end sheets I have gotten real deals there

We've used all kinds of fabrics over the years. Percale (crispy and wonderful in summer, cold in winter). Egyptian Cotton (soft but pricey). Crummy Cheapo Discount Sheets (never again). Satin/Sateen (way too hot and not comfy at all) Jersey (soft, might buy again). There are all types of other cotton and cotton blends, but our new favorite fabric for the cold months is flannel.
Sheap Sheets

We have awesome sheets from JCP. They are from Chris Madden. Bought them years ago and they have held up great. Also love the Lands End flannel sheets, but you have to get them on sale!

No no no! Not all of us can afford sheets that run hundreds of dollars. They would change my life by not allowing me to pay my rent, leading to eviction, which would lead to no use for a bed.

I like to go to Ross or Marshalls to buy really high thread-count sheets on the cheap. Unfortunately you can't buy their stuff online.
