PPs who got in--are you going to attend? It's a huge financial outlay if you add on aftercare.

I applied early Nov as well and haven't heard anything yet.

We applied mid-November (maybe the 15th?) for a boy in the 2yo class and received a phone call that we were admitted today.

FWIW, when we applied, we were told that we had applied early enough that we were very, very likely to get in (I think about half the spots had been filled).

FYI. We received a card in the mail today notifying us that we had a space for our child in a 2-year old room for the fall. We have two weeks to decide.

Thanks PP. How do you like the school?

There are four two year old classes operating in two large rooms which are divided in half. 12 students and two teachers in each class, so it is a 1-6 ratio.

Wow, that's a lot of 2 year olds. Are the classes combined at all? Or, put differently, how are they separated? I seem to recall only one big 2s classroom?

There are four 2's classes. A possible 48 spots.

App number 40 something came in early December. But do not bank on what I overheard.

Does anyone know how many 2s classes there are?

Our DD is applying to the 2 year old classroom and I was under the impression (only from other DCUM posts) that the available slots for those classes had already been filled by August or something ridiculously early!

Thanks for the information - this is very helpful.

This is false. I spoke to the director multiple times, as did a friend of mine, and as of early November they did not have enough applications to fill all the 2s spots.

My daughter is in the 2YO program at Franklin. She is in a group of 12 with two teachers.

I think each two year old class has 2 teachers and 12 children, but there are two classes per room. This seems like a relatively standard ratio compared with the other two year old programs we have looked at.

Would not go with Franklin- clasrooms have too many kids and with 2 year olds ! How can they pay much attention to these little ones? I feel there should not be more than 15 at max in a 2 year old class. I tried Family Academy but they were full- this was in November 2011.
Let me try again as I have heard good things about FAB.
