to the parent with the 148 WISC. You must definitely submit that with the initial referral or packet if your child is in the pool. Last year many posts advised to wait and keep the WISC for appeal... but I sent in that same WISC last year with the regular packet (yes DC was in the pool) and was accepted in the first round. 148 is very rare and you will certainly be accepted.

NNAT 130, CoAt 117 (composite), GBRS 12 -- Denied. Admitted on appeal with WISC 129.

There may be tuning required, and to do that would require data. What would be nice is a table showing:

For my DD, it is
14, 119, 120 (composite), admitted.

Just FYI, our DD got in last year with 148 NNAT, 130 CogAt and GBRS 11. However, her friend with 130 CogAT, 130-ish NNAT and GBRS 11 did not get in during the first round. (She got in on appeal with 128 WISC.)

From what I recall from the threads last year, DD likely would not have gotten in during the first round with GBRS 10, even with the 148 NNAT score. So, OP's algorithm might not be far off.

I think the equation may be more or less on track. However, I think you may need to reconsider the GBRS portion...as in it may be GBRS x10 plus 5-10 points. I'm sure others will disagree, but I think a GBRS of 11 has a higher weight than a Cogat or NNAt score of 110. Just saying that that part of the equation may need to be tinkered with a little.

I think there was a post last year that compiled the scores and indicated if child made it or not.

WISC seems to trump everything. A FSIQ should be facted over NNAT, CogAT and GBRS.

NNAT+CogAT coupled with the GBRS are a budget constrained approach attempting to give a value for IQ.

WISC does it directly.
