I love the way my hair looks when I can hot roll it. If there is a perm that could achieve that look for me everyday, I'd seriously consider it.

They are coming back and have apparently improved a lot since the 80s. I would call an upscale salon and talk to them about what you want your hair to look like as a result.

Oh God, the smell alone would steer me away from this. I felt like my head was a toxic waste dump the two or three times I got a perm in the late 80s.
