No parties here, either.

We only had a couple this year - definitely way down from the old days. We also have a party - which is a lot of work and very expensive but one year when we skipped it we really missed it.

I like holiday parties - I consider it part of the holidays overall rather than an intrusion on my "prep" time. I'd rather make the holidays about seeing friends and doing things than just decorating and buying presents.

I think also maybe the calendar this year made it hard? There were only 3 weekends for parties between Thanksgiving and Xmas.
