I have only one tube due to a surgery (they had to take ovary and tube due to malignancy) when I was younger. The remaining tube turned out to be blocked, so they cleared it out. I've had two healthy babies since!

Our RE diagnosed me with "likely" tubal factors, although my remaining tube appeared open on the HSG. Stastically, he gave me a 1% chance of conceiving on my own, 5-7% (over three cycles) chance of conceiving with Femara/Clomid + IUI, and 70-80% chance with ivf. My insurance didn't cover any fertility treatments, so we decided to do one iui just to give the peace of mind that we tried the "cheap" option before moving to ivf. Lo and behold, I'm 11 weeks pregnant from that femara + ovidrel + iui. We have no idea why it worked, but I'm not sad about it!
