Lord & Taylor at White Flint had them.

I've seen them at a few places for $29.95 and occasionally I've seen sales - B&N and Pottery Barn were each offering 20% off at some point.

It's a little creepy, but my 3-year-old is really into it. I only get her every other Christmas (her dad has her the other years) and I wanted to put some traditions in place for the holiday seasons when I don't have her. (Advent calendar, decorating the tree, cookies, Nutcracker, etc.)

You can have ours, OP - my mom gave it to my daughter last year (who was one and a half and completely didn't get it - she wanted to put it in the toy box) and I'm another who thinks it's creepy. It's the eyes that get me.

I find them creepy. And another lie to tell the kids.

Instead of teaching them real values and morals you tell them they're being watched by a inanimate figure that will tell santa claus they're misbehaving.

Great!

My nephews do their mischief downstairs because the elf is upstairs and vice-versa. And when they must steal treats one keeps watching the Elf and putting books in front of his face.

Useless.

Totally agree. So many parents out there just teaching their kids to be sneaky.

My kids are totally creeped ut by it (2.5 & 5.5) but they still think its fun. Just another fun memory of the holidays. I move mine as I head in to get my coffee.
And to the prior pp's it's really no biggie, tell them the elf tells Santa when they are good, leave the bad part out, duh!

I'm a fan. My 4 and 5 year-old especially love it. It helps.

some kids respond to the carrot, others to the switch. just another arrow in the quiver ...
