Mine make about $500K and he works for it. Most days he is out by 7am and is home after 7. Becasue he is the top guy at his division most of his days is spent either in meetings or with clients/employees. There is also a lot of afterwork events. This means that he also works at home in the evening and on weekends and is always on his smartphone. Travels about 4x a years with the longest about 3 days.

Rarely more than 40 hours and he probably travels about 10-15 days a year. I am very grateful that he's able to make such a great salary and still be home as much as he is. I have friends with DHs in big law. They make the same type of salary but work all of the time.

Between 60-70hrs. Earns $250+. He travels for 2-4 days every quarter or so and an additional one week per year. Minimal phone calls/emails until after LO goes to bed.

Leaves at 5 in the morning (he goes to the gym before work). Home between 6 and 7 in the evening. Travels for 2-4 days, 2-3 times a month, occasionally on a Saturday or Sunday. Trade-off - when he's at home, he does not check his blackberry.

45 hours a week as a federal physician. But it's a crazy busy day---often no time for lunch, bathroom, etc.

Just curious how old is he and you? Just a range, interested in knowing how long a career path to become C level.

I'm low-30's, he's upper 30's. He took a unique route and quit his conventional (lawyer) job 10 years ago, took a huge risk and started a business in a completely different field. Scary in the beginning, but it's paid off!

For a long time I swear I heard the Blackberry email alert in my sleep. Fuck Blackberries!!

We have a newish rule in our house: No Blackberry use upstairs, where the bedrooms are. It helps a lot!
