Santa does not wrap presents at our house (he also removes toys from all boxes/packaging/etc). That way, the kids can run downstairs and immediately play with their Santa presents!

I wrapped starting at 2. I told them Santa brings them by for me to wrap, hence the similar wrapping paper and why dh and I don't sleep when they go to sleep. Mentioned these items in passing more for the four year old. Am thinking will start doing different wrapping paper because I have that kind of time on my hands but have an out if need be.

I grew up with everything wrapped. DD is three and we have tried to wrap as little as possible. Stocking are huge in this house. And, every other gift from us is unpackaged and set up nicely. It also helps that we buy mostly wooden and handmade toys, and do not go overboard.

My angle being the environment and yada yada yada. But, it does make for a beautiful christmas morning, and DD gets to unwrap enough gifts from everyone else.

Santa doesn't wrap at my house either. He brings one present. It is usually something big. The line on the one present has started to blur, however. Why, yes, Santa DID bring you an outrageously overpriced Kit's treehouse from the American Girl Store (who buys all their stock from Santa, of course). But, wait! There is Kit peeking through the window of the treehouse, too!

We have wooden letters that represent the first initial of each of our kids' names. Santa puts the letter in front of the relevant kid's present.

This all stems from the angst I caused my parents when I asked for Santa to autograph my special autograph Snoopy. Santa doesn't wrap and Santa doesn't write!

We have consensus. Santa wraps in white paper.

Okay, the majority doesn't wrap at all but that's crazy.

Santa wraps in plain white tissue paper with a different colored curling ribbon for each child.

Def. wrap. I have separate santa wrap and the presents hide in my attic (the only place my kids don't go) until Christmas eve!

In my family, Santa always wraps in white tissue paper tied with simple curling ribbon--a different color for each of our 4 children. Everyone can distiguish which gifts are from Santa and which are from mom/dad, grandparents, etc. Santa's gifts are special and should look different. As long as my mom was alive I always received a gift from "Santa." I miss that gift (sometimes it was just new socks) and my mom every Christmas morning.

Definitely wrap. In Santa only paper that had to be hidden. The Santa gifts did not appear until christmas morning with the stockings ( not under the tree). For 17 years... Last year, with my oldest18, was the first year of no Santa gifts (but we still have stockings).

That's St. Nick in the picture. Santa wraps.

Another family where Santa doesn't wrap! Everything is beautifully placed under the tree, with tags/arranged for each child. This also goes back generations in my family. We have plenty of other packages that are wrapped and the kids get well involved in passing out wrapped gifts with tags (and opening many addressed to them, too). It's a very fun morning/day!

In my family, Santa didn't wrap and I still remember the excitement of the display of toys when I came in the room. However, in DH's family, Santa did wrap and he insisted that the gifts from Santa be wrapped, so that's what my kids got used to. I still think it's not as fun that way, though.

No need to wrap them, he'll do it himself.
