OP here. I can't have anything delivered to his office since he works in a secure facility, so don't worry, he is off the hook for getting flowers. Really though, he works with a bunch of extreme nerds, so I can't imagine them having much room to rib him. He is a nerd too, but I suspect he is one of the cooler ones.

Thank you to the PP who gave me the beer link. That seems like a good starting point.

Before someone suggests sex or a blow job, all bases are already covered there.

I once send flowers to a man and he told me he was so touched because he had never received flowers as a gift and he loved them. Send him a bouquet to his office, guarantee you, he will love them.

I am a man and I liked it when someone sent me flowers, but mostly it was the meaning behind gesture and not the gift itself. Flowers are kind of a unique gesture.

Haha. OP here. Your post made me laugh.

I've thought about having a nice lunch delivered to his office, but he works in a secure facility, so that won't work. Maybe I'll try the beer, but he is not into dark/hoppy/heavy or high alcohol content brews. He actually really likes Blue Moon. I am more into the crafty beers than he is.

That's fine. If he likes Blue Moon, there are lots of others like it: http://whiskeygoldmine.com/beer-reviews-best-beers-beer-forum/ale-belgian-ale-pale-ale-ipa-porter-imperial-stout-esb/belgian-beers-belgian-ales/the-top-ten-belgian-whites-blanche-de-bruselles-witbier-hoegaarden-ommegang-victory/

I second the favorite snack suggestion. My husband loves black licorice, so once in a while I buy him some really high quality licorice. Nice little gesture that shows care and thought, whatever the treat.
