Poor Mitt Romney -- he's worried about "How the Gingrinch Store [His] Christmas."

Talking Points Memo claims (http://talkingpointsmemo.com/archives/2011/11/bogus_stat_alert.php?ref=fpblg) that this "low point" stat is bogus, since his ratings are actually up a bit lately, but are lower than Carter's because Carter got a patriotic spike at the beginning of the hostage crisis.

I notice, by the way, that Intrade has Obama's chances of reelection at just over 50%. As Churchill might say, he has the lousiest chances of winning in 2012 except for all the others.

Of course! "Cut reproductive rights, cut marriage equality, cut immigration reform, cut public education." They're chock-FULL of great new ideas!

I'm not a fan of any of the republican field, but I think only Bachman qualifies as "batshit insane." Ron Paul is more of a libertarian kook. Santorum is a religious nut. Cain is an opportunistic narcisist. Gingrich is an ethically and morally challenged buffoon. Perry is dimwitted and a disaster as a candidate. Romney and Huntsman seem pretty reasonable, though Romney has opportunistic shape-shifter written all over him.

I can't tell if you're kidding. In case you're not: That would describe the framers of the Constitution. The articles of confederacy were dumped a long time ago dude.

well Bachman is unqualified then too. I didn't realize she had only been in the House since 2007. But I don't consider her a real viable candidate.

Huntsman has the best resume. Business, Governor, Ambassador to China - plus good educational achievements. Romney is not bad either.

Uh, Bachman has been in the house since 2007. Her prior career involved graduating from Oral Roberts law school, working five years as an IRS staffer, and being an undistinguished state senator for six years. Hardly "much more" than Obama.

You forgot - and this can't be said often enough - she really is batshit insane. I understand that gets lost sometimes, since it applies to the many in the GOP field. Either batshit crazy or craven opportunist (Gingrich, Romney), take your pick. Both Santorum and Paul are also batshit crazy, but at least they're steadfast in their batshit craziness. Cain and Perry hit the daily double - they're both batshit crazy and craven opportunist, with the added bonus of being unable to articulate a coherent position. Huntsman is the only one who's mildly palatable - which of course means he hasn't a prayer in the primary. Ladies and gentlemen, your potential 2012 GOP nominees!

We gave the libs a chance from 2006-2010 and all they managed to do was pass fake healthcare reform and a stimulas that didn't do what it promised. Time to go back to the republican reign, lets just not screw it up this time. Even barney f_ _ is stepping down, so you know it's curtains for the profressive idiots.
Well that's a hoot because Gingrich supported health care mandates.

But I guess you forgot that. Btw where were you three months ago? Oh I remember. You were busy with your crushes on Bachmann then Perry then Cain. Great track record you have v

Put him next to anyone on the GOP side, and it's no contest. I'd rather the guy with the learning curve than some psycho religious nut, waffling do nothing or ancient old fart who still thinks it's 1994.

I don't like the republican field either, but all are much more qualified now than Obama was in 2008. Not even close.
I never thought I'd day this but the GOP candidates have proven that there is far worse than unqualified.
