Most frequently, I see people jumping in to correct obvious trolls. It sure beats trying to meet the troll on the ground of her own fake issues. Yesterday I saw somebody correct a troll's grammar and finish with, "You're welcome." It was funny and well done.

I'm tolerant of the non-trolls, however. People do get tired.

One or two is fine-especially since autocorrect seems to make them inevitable. What irks me are long, run-on sentences and lack of punctuation/capitalization.

The issue is not proof reading. The problem is people not knowing the right way to write.

As an ESL myself I particularly like when people correct me and learned to select who I hang out with based on how (and if) they do it.

I am ESL and often make both spelling and/or grammar errors. It's difficult for me because in my native language, subject and verb are completely different then how it is done in English. No matter how long I am in this country, I still think "backwards" as my husband says.

Maybe if you grammar fannatics spent a little less time judging others and a little more time visting other countries, you would not be so wrapped up in internet anger.

One typo I can overlook, but when there are A LOT of typos and grammatical errors throughout the posting as well, then I don't put as much stock in what the writer is saying. This is particularly true of abbreviations such as LMAO, LOL, ur etc. It's fine to text those to your friend, but leave them in your phone, please.
