I think most docs are fine, remember half of your fertility battle is what happens in the lab too, so you can't shop on doctor alone. But when a doctor and his staff spend time trolling message boards and writing positive reviews of themselves, you have to wonder! it's like, if you're a good doctor, why do you need to do this internet trolling in your spare time?

Dr. Dimattina at Dominion Fertility and potentially his minions are famous for this. I, unfortunately, won't give away how I know that it's him on here recently, because if I post that he'll change what he's doing. They've been caught on other boards too.

Thank u, that's all I wanted to know
Wanted to make sure it wasn't my dr, going through so much wouldn't want to deal with someone like that

5 IUIs and 8 IVFs here (4 fresh, 2 frozen, and 2 cancelled cycles) without insurance coverage and we worked with our clinics (yes, plural) to donate meds we had purchased back to the doctor, and we were able to obtain some free meds that way (through the doctor). It's always better to be up front about insurance coverage with the doc, and they will usually try to assist, especially for those patients that have been struggling with multiple cycles.

I think from what you posted I see a pattern. She posts her drama, people give her solutions, and a month later she's out there reposting and using their solutions. So I would guess that from the 2010 ads where she's selling and posting her hollydaly email, that she then "got smart" and started doing it anonymously and changing her email and possibly using the garage sale site someone recommended to her.

There are unfortunately a lot of posts here that come by ways of bad intentions. I know for a fact, that when there are negative posts about certain docs and fertility clinics, that several if not all of the responses come from the doctor himself or one of his nurses. He's just not too bright to beat the system. I don't want to give away what I see when he/they post, but it's become more and more obvious.

You should mention the drs name. I just feel as patients dealing with infertility we should know of drs that are not honest and could be taking advantage of our emotions and fragile state.

I have bought and sold meds online. A couple times I stimmed faster than expected and had leftover meds that I sold to recoup some ofmy costs. Twice, I sold leftovers and ended up miscarrying so had to go out and buy again. I am not happy about it but for those of us without insurance coverage it is expensive. Buying is a hassle because no one is going to have everything you need so you have to get from many sources. I have had 2 iuis and 2 ivf's and for each one my protocol changed so that is pretty common. I am so glad not to have to do that anymore, but glad that I saved money.
