If that gives you pause, I wouldn't use it. But if not, go for it! It's your decision anyway. Screw 'em all.

Um, no, it does not.

OP, the name is awesome.

Sounds like a 70's porn star name.

What about using it as the middle name?

I think of that Monty Python sketch about the Australian philosophy faculty who were all named Bruce and all disdained "poofters" (i.e., gay men).

exactly why it is such a bad idea to name your children babyish names because they will grow up. Sorry to offend, but what comes to mind for me is:

Riley
Carter
Bailey

Those names are so soft for a man. Maybe all men will be fully emasculated in the next 20 years so it might not matter, but for me a wimpy name is not a very good choice.

I would NEVER suggest giving a kid a childish name (although I disagree that Carter sounds babyish, possibly also because I've known many adult Carters). I'm just saying that to me, because I know older Bruce's, that it reminds me of a grandpa. I'm not saying that's bad. My DD told me she wanted me to call her "Pearl", which while lovely, is also a grandma name.

(Bailey and Riley are total girl names, by the way)

I disagree, Bailey is a dog name

I would have been either Bruce Wayne Lastname or Adam West Lastname had I been a boy. I'm very glad to have been a girl.

I like it. Unusual these days, but classic. Think Batman.

It's a family name for DH - my FIL's name - and I'm torn. I think of it as an older man's name, but that's what I know. I do know a baby Bruce and thInk it's cute on him.
