Why do parents have to advocate for such basic things though? Can't the school districts just have some common sense? US national recommendations are for 20 minutes of recess everyday at a minimum. You'd think our schools would have just incorporated this good practice. In other school districts, parents do not have be advocates for such best practices.

I wish schools and parents would advocate for more PE and recess at elementary schools-there are many benefits so unfortunate that kids are getting less and less time to be outside, playing, running around.
